Angelos Amditis is in the Committee of TMM-CH 2021
Dr. Angelos Amditis will be joining the International Steering Committee of the 2nd International Conference “Transdisciplinary Multispectral Modelling and Cooperation for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage: Rebranding the World in Crisis through Culture (TMM-CH)”,
The conference will be held on December 12 – 15, 2021 in Athens Greece, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic and the Hellenic Parliament, in cooperation with Universities and Ministries, international organizations and associations as well as international and Greek networks in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
About Dr. Angelos Amditis
Research Director of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), National Technical University of Athens. Since 2002, Dr. Amditis has been the founder and the Director of the I-SENSE Research Group of ICCS.
Honorary Vice-President, EuroXR Association. He was one of the initiators of the EuroXR Association, which was established as a continuation of the INTUITION Network of Excellence, and he has served as the President from September 2010 until March 2016.
About TMM-CH
The scope of the 2nd TMM-CH Conference is to present the latest developments in research and innovation that identify novel trends to build an interdisciplinary approach to conservation and holistic digital documentation of cultural heritage. The utilization and reuse of monuments, historic cities, and sites, forms the framework of sustainable preservation of cultural heritage, in accordance with the principles of the circular economy; in terms of respect and protection of values, materials, structures, architecture, and landscape; with an informed society, able to participate effectively in the policies that will design and implement the new strategies required.
Sharing knowledge, experiences, and recommendations about sustainable cultural heritage approaches and practices at a moment of great risk and a time of renewed possibilities, will reorientate conversation to explore the current conditions and contours of the World in crisis rebranding itself through Culture, and relaunching development.
Call for papers
The International Steering Committee and the International Scientific Committee welcome
research contributions for oral and poster presentations.
Accepted papers will be published, as in the case of the 1st TMM-CH Conference, in Springer
Computer Science Proceedings, available in 2022 following the Conference, and Scientific
Journals in the field of Cultural Heritage Preservation, selectively.
