New Project for Haption

EuroXR Association is glad to announce the new achievement of one of our members, Haption is now a partner in the PI5G project. Selected by the French government as part of the economic and industrial recovery plan.

Led by CEA LIST, the PI5G project aims to accelerate the development of products/services combining immersive technologies (eXtended Reality) and 5G for Industry 4.0. Through the development of immersive platforms, the consortium will develop new technology bricks and turnkey solutions to address three types of use cases such as 3D telepresence, immersive telerobotics, and immersive simulation. These needs, usually common to several industrial sectors, will be specified and shared in order to facilitate the deployment and use of these technologies. The project should also position 5G and immersive technologies at the heart of companies’ strategy by providing access to the experimental platform and results. Companies (GG, ETI, SMEs) that are or are not part of the project will be able to test new services that meet their current and future needs on the three types of use cases that are addressed in the project.

The platform will allow companies to experiment with new products and services that combine 5G with immersive solutions.
